Tuna Salad

Tuna salad is one of my favorite lunches. Not the creamy mayo tuna salad. No no. A nice piece of tuna steak served over some fresh greens.

Tuna takes on any flavor you can throw at it, so I say throw some Chef Shamy Garlic Butter.

The garlic mixed with some lemon really gives the  fish a great, fresh taste, perfect for a light lunch.

But, you say, I’m in a landlocked state. There’s no fresh fish here. The seafood department of my grocery store smells like old sneakers.

Frozen tuna steaks are pretty easy to find, and I find that frozen tuna still tastes pretty good.

I mean, everything tastes good with Garlic Butter.

Directions

  • tIn a medium skillet, melt Garlic Butter over high heat. Once the skillet is warm, add tuna. Sear on both sides, about 1 minute each side.
  • Add lemon juice, lemon zest, salt and pepper to taste, and remove from the pan. Rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice tuna steak into thin pieces and serve over greens.
