Grilled Cheese
We’ve been looking forward to Pizza Grilled Cheese for several months, ever since we thought of the recipe. We’ve done a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches here at Chef Shamy– you could even say it’s our specialty.
Many of you were first introduced to our Fresh Churned Garlic Butter through a cheesy sandwich. It was probably a sample at Costco, Sam’s Club, or another store. And there’s nothing wrong with the classic. But pizza.
Pizza.
Pizza
The classic pizza topping is pepperoni. So our delicious twist on the much loved sandwich includes pepperoni, mozzarella, and pizza sauce. Along with the Garlic Butter, it tastes like the most delicious pizza ever– in sandwich form!
It’s important to use mozzarella cheese– it’s expected when you’re talking about pizza. It also melts really well, and has a mild taste that allow the pepperoni and Garlic Butter to shine.
Sauce
Sometimes it can be tricky to put sauce in a sandwich– you don’t want it to be so messy that you can’t eat it. The trick is putting just the right amount of sauce inside. You need enough to be able to taste it, but you don’t want so much that it oozes out and overwhelms the other aspects of the sandwich.
We recommend about 2 Tablespoons of sauce per sandwich. But, that can vary depending on big your slices of bread are. It’s always better to add too little than too much. You can always dip your sandwich in extra if you need it.
Enjoy!
