Javanese Ginger & Garlic Salad Dressing

This delicious salad dressing is sweet, tart and savory all at the same time. With strong ginger and garlic overtones it is the perfect topping for a chicken salad.
  • 1 inch piece of fresh (peeled) ginger root.
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1-2 green onions
  • ½ tsp fresh ground pepper.
  • Handful Fresh cilantro
  • 2 T olive oil
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar.
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • Juice from one half of a lemon.
  • 1 T sugar
  1. Put solid ingredients (spices and herbs-not sugar) in a food processor with just enough fluid (soy or vinegar) to keep the ingredients processing.
  2. Strain stringy portion of ginger root and process again getting everything as small as possible.
  3. Add sugar and liquid ingredients and mix well.
