Grilled Cheese
Grilled cheese is kinda our “thing” here at Chef Shamy! You could say it’s our signature dish. And people have been going wild for our new Black Truffle Grilled Cheese!
Most of our grilled cheese recipes use our Garlic Butter–but this one is different. It uses our new Fresh Churned Black Truffle Butter. It’s absolutely packed with flavor, and it has real truffles in it!
Cheese
Grilled cheese sandwiches can have a lot of variety (see our recipes for proof). One of the most fun ways to mix things up is by using different cheeses! The classic cheese is American– but we’re using cheddar here. Cheddar compliments the truffle flavor– and it melts really well!
Feel free to experiment with other cheeses as well. Truffle would be good with Swiss, provolone, even mozzarella! Truffles have an earthy, mushroom-like flavor. So any cheese that would pair well with a mushroom would work great!
It’s Easy But
A grilled cheese is one of the easiest things to make. You probably don’t even need a recipe. But let’s talk about a few important points.
The first is about the Truffle Butter. Spread it all the way to the edges of the bread! You don’t want a single bite without that delicious flavor!
The second tip is to keep the heat low. High heat means the bread will burn before the cheese is melted. Low and slow is the name of the game. A good grilled cheese is made with patience (and love).
Enjoy!
