PRESS RELEASE

SALT LAKE CITY, April 12, 2019 — Chef Shamy Gourmet announces the expansion and groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, April 12th at 12:00 pm for a new Chef Shamy manufacturing facility at 3195 West Professional Circle in Salt Lake City, UT. This expansion is tied to the rapidly developing demand for natural ingredient flavored butters and will serve to satisfy Chef Shamy customers’ growing needs.

The expansion consists of construction of the new Chef Shamy Plant and extension of existing warehouse facilities. The plant has been designed to meet the increased demand for healthy flavored butters, honey butters, and frostings. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019, with production starting upon completion of all food safety checks. Once the Level 3 SQF facility is fully operational, it will initially employ 60 people, eventually expanding to create 100 new local jobs and an additional 150 national jobs.

“This is an exciting time and a timely investment into our 2nd decade of business,” said David Shamy, CEO of Chef Shamy Gourmet. “We are proud to build our new facility in a state that has very supportive customers and city officials. We especially look forward to meeting our customers’ growing demands for all our real butter products.”

The brief groundbreaking ceremony will feature David Shamy, CEO of Chef Shamy Gourmet; Kevin Shamy, President of Chef Shamy; and other company representatives, business leaders and the general contractor.
